Standing Ovation: Usain Bolt

A standing ovation for Usain Bolt. One of my favorite athletes in the world.

After winning the gold in the 200m today, Usain becomes the first man in history to sweep the 100m and 200m in two different Olympics. The pressure that was on his shoulders leading into the London games must have been incredible, because everyone expected him to blow away the competition. On the surface, Bolt didn't let any of that pressure get to him as he still joked around before each meet. I guess when you're this good, you can do whatever you want.

Simply incredible.

2008:
100m - 9.69 seconds
200m - 19.30 seconds

2012:
100m - 9.63 seconds
200m - 19.32 seconds

And oh yeah, he's only 25 years old and can conceivably go for a three-peat in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2016 barring any major injuries. Of course, that's if he doesn't become Manchester United's star footballer and retires from sprinting altogether.

Speaking as a Dallas Cowboys fan, we DO need a #3 wide receiver...

Excuse me as I do the Bolt pose.
